The Contemporary Elements show features fabulous new works by James Johnson, metalsmith; Scott Young, glass maker; and Bobbie Nix, jewelry artist. Our artists will be on hand to discuss their work and answer your questions. The show will run from Thursday, December 4 to Saturday, January 3, 2009.

 

All three of our artists have a unique style. Their work is all handmade and one-of-a-kind, and locally crafted. James Johnson is a self-taught, fresh talent in the world of metal forging. Scott Young makes exceptional contemporary glass pieces with a bold design and bright colors. Bobbie Nix is a master jeweler, melding contemporary style with antique elements in her exciting jewelry. The works of art from each of these artists would make perfect gifts.
