Our Beliefs

Written by Mike

We believe art is beauty.

We believe in authentic and local.

We believe in the unusual, obscure and unique.

We believe that art comes in many guises, through drawing, music, painting, sculpture, textiles, photography, ceramics, performance, jewelry, woodwork, manga, mixed media, papier mâché, glass, and not just through works by dead European males.

We believe art should make people happy or make people cry and everything in between.

We believe art enhances people’s lives, homes and businesses.

We believe local art enriches our neighborhood.

We believe handmade objects should be treasured and collected.

We believe having great art is like having good friends.

We believe people should cram their lives and homes with as much art as possible.

We believe in cubes and Picasso.

We believe our store is the coolest thing since Apollo 11 and sliced bread.

We believe all great art should be approachable and make people think.

We believe from birth kids should learn to make and appreciate art and the creative process.

We believe in supporting artists so that they may grow to support others.

We believe art provides a much needed refuge from our increasingly chaotic world.

We believe great art is often accompanied by a great story.

I believe that family & friends is the next best thing to art. This is a perfect idea and I couldn’t think of anyone else who would make this become a success rather than you two! Miss you guys!!
